About Our Worship

Christ Church Riverdale conducts two services on Sunday, Spoken Eucharist at 8:30 am and Sung Eucharist at 11:00 am.  The 11:00 am service is streamed and can be accessed at the above link. We hold these services go from the first Sunday after Labor Day in September, our Homecoming Day, through the last Sunday in June, our Picnic Day, where members of the church come together in celebration.  During the summer we have a single service at 10:00 am. We consider our church to be a High Church as we celebrate our services especially our 11:00 am with bells and incense whenever possible.

Parishioners' Participation

During both our services parishioners participate in roles as Ushers, Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers. These ministries keep us centered as a church with an involved congregation.

Youth Participation

The children at our Church are involved as Ushers and Lectors. Our verger James Onyango has built and mentored our team of Acolytes.

Please contact Damaso Parets if you are interested in participating as an Usher or Lector.

Cultural Diversity

At Christ Church Riverdale, especially for Pentecost, we incorporate the various languages of the congregants like Chinese, French, German, Korean, Igbo, Luo, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swahili, to mention a few.  We feel that doing so demonstrates who we are as church and as a people.
