Forde Concert Series

Great Music at Christ Church

Christ Church has a long history of bringing great music to the Riverdale Community.  Our series is named in honor of our late and distinguished parishioners, Dr. Kenneth and Kay Forde.  After COVID subsided, the Forde Concert Series resumed in May 2023.  We have offered an exciting variety of well-attended performances from classical to jazz, flamenco to African American song, story and drumming followed by sumptuous receptions.

Our sponsors' generous gifts made the 2026 concert season a success.  Our program for the 2026-27 season is:

 

October 4, 2026 (Sunday) 3 p.m. The West Village Quartet - an African-American string quartet,
performing works from the classical, pop and R&B repertoire
December 20, 2026 (Sunday) Christmas Concert
January 9, 2027 (Saturday) 7:30pm Art Songs with Marc Molomot, tenor with Alex Ruvenstein, piano
April 18, 2027 (Sunday) 3 p.m. Jazz Sitar and Guitar with Daniel Garbin and group
